At first, they didn’t talk much and all i knew about them was their names and the fact that they were listening in the middle of the war…

This was the story of a woman and two soldiers in their end-thirties, of a war and lives that broke apart. They were speaking and i was the one listening. The more they spoke, the more they opened wounds that couldn’t be mended. The fresh wounds were leaving me in pain. If i didn’t hold their hands when they reached out for me, if i had kept listening without doing anything, would i have burned less? If i hadn’t see what was happening, would i have cried less? But i held on. I listened and i saw. I came back damaged from the red journey i did in the deep corners of my mind. In the end, i was in the middle between screams, hunger, disease, deaths, silence, despair, shrapnels, bayonets, bullets, bombs and dismembered flesh…


I came back from the land where Death reigns with memories too hard to carry.
